Food and Beverage

Food --> Besides the after rafting BBQ and lunch during the full day trip, you are on your own.  I highly recommend teaming up with some people to split food cost and prepare larger meals.  I have a grill you can cook on, stove, and an oven as well.  Also the fire pits have grills, but I would bring foil to put over them.

Some good ideas for camping food:

    • Shish-kabob ala Mediterranean style is always a winner.
    • Potatoes and/or corn wrapped in foil and thrown in the fire.  I would bring some long tongs though; you don't want to get your hand down in the fire if you know what I mean.
    • Burgers, brats (beer soaked of course for you WI boys), dogs are always quick and easy.
    • Click here for some more yummy recipes off the net.  Don't be that boring person that eats pop-tarts the entire campout!!

Hey, hey careful man there's a beverage here!!!

Beverages --> Again besides the BBQ and lunch you are on your own here.

The one rule at this and most campsites are

NO GLASS BOTTLES!!!!!

So if you insist on bringing your crazy micro-brew from who knows where, then pour it in a cup, but leave the glass bottles in your car!!!!  I can't emphasize this enough.  If a bottle breaks and I cut my foot... :-X  This goes for glass bottles of alcohol or MD 20/20 as well.

I have a very large cooler that I am bringing, so if you want bring your suitcase of beer and throw it in there that is fine by me.  The only thing is I can't guarantee that somebody else might not help themselves.   If you are stingy with your beer, then you might want to bring your own cooler.

The question Password --> Eddie

If you have any questions, please reference this word so I know you read this whole freakin web page.  Also you will get bonus points if you can tell me what an ‘Eddie' is in rafting terminology.
