Class Five Chaos
Cañon City is a decent sized mountain town. There is a Super Wal-Mart and a couple of Grocery stores. It has plenty of places to eat, and even an internet café. So if you want to wait to get some of your supplies here such as groceries, you should be okay. It is about 10 miles or so from where we are camping, which equates to about a 20 minute drive when you factor in dirt roads and such.
Interesting note about Cañon City, there is large prison (Colorado Territorial Correctional Facility) right there in the middle of town. As you pass the prison, along the cliff face you will see an old guard tower that is pretty old. The prison was originally constructed in 1871. There have been many prison breaks from this facility, so be careful who you pick up. ;)
